Raphael Saadiq presents the 7 Days Of Weak – a 15-track project with a throwback 90s r&b sound – from protégé, singer/songwriter Adrian Marcel. Saadiq executive produced the project and also lent a hand with production. He expresses a great deal of pride in Marcel – a fellow Bay Area artist – and the project during a promo video for the project. Raphael Saadiq also opens the release with a bit of advice for the East Oakland crooner. The project was preceded by the video for Marcel’s single “I’m Still” – a track that asserts he’s remained the same guy despite success. Stepping it up, Marcel taps Wale for the remix.
