In the early 1990s, pioneers, Mandla Spikiri and Mdu Masilela joined forces to form MM Deluxe – a kwaito powerhouse that soon disbanded. Playing on this title, Zubz and Tumi created TZ Deluxe complete with their own take on the album art as homage to the sound- track of their childhood and early adult life. they tackle infidelity in the classic Ujole Next Door by New Age (Zubz provides my stand-out line: “she couldn’t take it/rattex in the bacon.”)
